July 1 @ 12:00 am – July 3 @ 11:59 pm
The annual EG-ICE workshop makes this possible and will take place in Padova, Italy from 1st – 3rd of July 2026.
The event is organized by the University of Padova. The city beautifully blends urban life with rich cultural heritage and offers everything needed for an enjoyable and inspiring stay in the heart of the Veneto.
The EG-ICE International Workshop on Intelligent Computing in Engineering will bring together international experts working on the interface between advanced computing and modern engineering challenges. Many engineering tasks require open-world solution of challenges, such as supporting multi-actor collaboration, coping with approximate models, providing effective engineer-computer interaction, search in multi-dimensional solution spaces, accommodating uncertainty, including specialist domain knowledge, performing sensor-data interpretation and dealing with incomplete knowledge.
While computer science provides many useful concepts for resolution, adaptation is unavoidable. Most importantly, feedback from engineering challenges drives fundamental computer-science research. Competence and knowledge transfer goes both ways.
